BMW Bavarias, E12s, and E28s are appreciating, these will too. The reason is that their two-door brethren are now worth well more than the average enthusiast can afford, and people like us understand that you can get the exact same mechanicals and a piece of the style with added practicality for almost nothing in comparison. The hard part now is finding good ones.

The first car I remember my mother driving was a 280SEL that my dad dropped a 350 into for her. Always got the strangest looks when people heard it at stop lights.

This was 87-90 the thing was fast and loud. Dad got it for next to nothing with the Benz engine blown.

It doesn't bother me as much for a weekend cruiser. But I would never DD one for that reason. You see videos online and they are just horrific
